Nursing and Midwifery Training Programs
Certificate
2.5 years
- Candidate must be at least 18 years old and certified as both physically and mentally fit to handle clinical demands. Explicit Passes (under the old curriculum) or a minimum of a Grade D (under the new curriculum) in five key subjects: Mathematics, English, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry.
Diploma
3 years
- Applicant completed both O-Level (UCE) and A-Level (UACE) education, with at least two Principal Passes at A-Level, Biology being compulsory, alongside subsidiary passes in the other necessary sciences. Also, must have credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry at O-Level
extension
1.5 years
- An applicant must already be a practicing healthcare professional holding a valid Certificate in Nursing or Midwifery, registered with Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council alongside a minimum of two (2) years of active clinical working experience earned after that registration date.
